Annual Vignette

The annual vignette provides the best per-day value for frequent motorway users. It is valid from 1 December of the year before purchase through 31 January of the following year — a total of approximately 14 months. This generous overlap period means you can buy early without losing coverage.

Key Details

  • Duration: 1 December (previous year) to 31 January (following year) — ~14 months
  • Price: €96.40 (2025 tariff)
  • Available for purchase from 1 November each year
  • Valid on all Austrian motorways and expressways
  • Best per-day cost of all three options
  • Does not cover special toll sections

Suitable For

  • Austrian residents who commute by motorway
  • Frequent business travellers based in Austria
  • Anyone making more than 4 trips per year on Austrian motorways

Value Analysis

At €96.40 for ~14 months, the daily rate is approximately €0.22. By comparison, the 10-day vignette costs €0.99/day. If you use Austrian motorways more than 10 days per year, the annual vignette saves money.
